A test szerint valók a test dolgaira gondolnak; a Lélek szerint valók a Lélek dolgaira. A test gondolata halál, a Lélek gondolata élet és békesség. A test gondolata ellenségeskedés Isten ellen. (Róm 8:5-7) Aki vet a léleknek, a lélekből arat örök életet. (Gal 6:8)

Aki meg akarja tartani az ő életét elveszti azt, aki elveszti az ő életét én értem megtalálja azt. (Mt 10:39; 16:25; Mk 8:35; Lk 9:24)
